Job Description:
Responsible for promoting and generating dental equipment sales, products and services by regularly contacting dentist offices within a defined territory. Work closely with other sales professionals to identify, qualify, and close equipment sales. Coordinate equipment installations, initiate and manage new or remodeled office design projects.
Major Duties
- Generate Sales: Drive profitable sales growth across multiple equipment categories.
- Develop relationships with Hospitals and practice staff.
- Generate referrals from current customers and manufacturers’.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule events such as technical demonstrations and co-travels.
- Sales Planning: Prepare for sales visits; develop general and client-specific sales strategies.
- Establish short and long term goals.
- Seek information regarding industry and Patterson products and services and competitive intelligence. Analyze customer’s business for needs and selling opportunities.
- Equipment and Technology Sales: Coordinate with other sales professionals to demonstrate and sell equipment and technology.
- Seek opportunities to discuss benefits and features of equipment and technology solutions based on customer needs.
- Coordinate with designers and sub/contractors to inspect work and make suggestions for modification when necessary.
- Customer Relations: Manage all aspects of customer accounts from demonstration of products to responding to questions and solving problems.
- Hold client relationship meetings.
- Administrative: Maintain accurate records for customer orders, all sales records, and sales activity including documentation of prospecting meetings, etc.

- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Analyze a situation, identify and evaluate potential solutions and outcomes, take appropriate action. Make decisions and solve problems in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess one or more of the following:
- Qualifications:
- 4 yr degree
- 3 yrs exp. in business to business sales
- 1 yrs exp. in the dental industry.

- Proven track record in sales
- Ability to analyze financial information
- PC skills (spreadsheets, word processing)
- Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
