We have a challenging opening for the position of Legal and Compliance Manager, based in Cairo, Egypt. As the Legal and Compliance Manager, you will be a member of the finance, legal, and information technology department (FLIT) and you will report to the FLIT Director.

About the Department
FLIT is the department responsible for the day to day activities of the affiliate, including, financial transactions, financial planning and reporting, management of the company’s cash flow and assets, all IT activities including administration of the company’s IT infrastructure, software and business IT applications, as well as local implementation of all global IT projects, and all legal and business ethics compliance matters.

The job
You will be responsible to effectively manage and oversee all legal affairs for NN Egypt and selective legal matters that affect the entire company. You will also be responsible for the Legal & Compliance department’s budget. In addition, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the relevant legal authorities (e.g. competition authorities, government authorities, public prosecutors, etc.), and advise the Management Team on the legal risks and mitigating strategies. You will develop, implement, and continually evaluate the affiliate’s Legal & Compliance Strategy. You will provide fast, effective, high quality and business oriented day-to-day Legal and Compliance support to the affiliate and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulation.

Qualifications
A degree in law from an accredited law school is required with minimum of 5+ years of Legal & Compliance experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. You need to have extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, including transactional experience, and knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation in Egypt. Litigation and dispute resolution experience is a plus.
