Pharmaceutical business development manager job description:
- must know relevant drug laws.
- must also be aware of local drug laws, as well as all governmental policies on drugs.
- He or she must also have a comprehensive understanding of drug development phases, generic drug development, and the regulatory process.
- must identify and close new business contracts, and build and maintain customer relationships.
- May be required to travel frequently.
- must have good negotiation, communication, presentation, and organizational skills are also required.
- Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain.
- Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Pharmaceutical business development manager requirements:
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.
- Proven sales track record.
- Experience in customer support is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in English.
- Market knowledge.
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport.
- Time management and planning skills.
Qualifications:
- B. Sc. Of pharmaceutical science or other similar degree.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Saudi market of which at least 2 years in business development.
