A Multinational Healthcare Company seeking for its scientific office in Cairo :

– Marketing Specialist –

Major Duties & Responsibilities :

(Job duties that occupy 5% or more of the incumbent’s time and/or which are critical to the successful performance of the job.)

1. Freedom to choose methods within broadly defined processes and tools to produce the desired results. With approval from management, develops and leads improvements and/or solutions to work processes and tools. Provides input to management that may impact how financial resources are generated or spent. Conducts work independently. When necessary, the supervisor is consulted for assistance in problem areas.

2. Leads or coaches employees during a project or trains/mentors new employees within functional disciplines such as market research, channel/product marketing, e-business/e-marketing, business/market development, branding, pricing, new product marketing, etc. Begins to determine priorities, assign responsibilities, or implement timetables for work group or teams to ensure success. May provide input on performance of team members.

3. Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies. Projects are usually short term with specific results expected, and occasionally broadly defined results. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met. Presents project recommendations to appropriate personnel that demonstrate sound planning in support of business needs and goals.

4. Handles non-routine and difficult inquiries. Adapts differing techniques and methods to develop solutions for a variety of complex issues. Applies analytical skills for analysis and interpretation of trends or data generated by company reporting systems, statistical results, or other information collection systems. Most complex problem solving may include the use of extensive experience, individual reasoning, and research which may deviate from standard techniques and practices.

5. Has a direct impact on the team/work group, providing direction, advice, or focus as needed. Decisions may impact the operational effectiveness of multiple work groups or teams at Organizational Tier.

6. Work tasks are likely to encompass concepts within multiple disciplines/practices which may include more than one department/location.

Working tasks might include :

A. Actively contributes to the development of marketing plans for assigned market/product area, including collection, verification, analysis of data and recommendation on programs. Suggests program shifts based on marketing plan metrics and comprehensive understanding of customers and marketplace.

B. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing research projects utilizing advanced quantitative and qualitative methods. Determines appropriate methodologies to obtain the required information along with associated costs, timing and other factors relevant to completion of the project. Identifies and recommends market segments and target customers based on the right mix of data and insights.

C. Uses data to accurately analyze market coverage and track channel performance. Coordinates the implementation and tracking of channel-specific programs or promotions. Oversees with Interactive marketing team the execution eCommerce activities, including the development and management of digital assets and on-line promotions.

D. Analyzes customer database to identity opportunities and communicate them to sales representatives.

E. Coordinates with internal and external teams the execution of brand and/or product marketing programs, including packaging design projects, promotion activities, digital marketing, CRM, pricing programs, and sales/ demo materials.

F. Uses brand measures (awareness, familiarity, favorability, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of marketing activities.

G. Manages and approves demand planning forecast based on knowledge of customer, marketing programs and marketing trends to ensure highest possible accuracy.

H. Coordinates new product development and introduction efforts with cross-functional team, following defined new product strategies from leadership. Partners with R&D/Laboratory and Finance to develop realistic business cases and commercialization plans for new products and line extensions. Drives consistent use of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process/tools.

I. Provides price competitive analysis and recommends pricing changes when appropriate. Helps define pricing corridors for products and sizes in alignment with business strategies. Monitors and manages changes to price corridors, including ad-hoc deviated pricing. Provides guidance to the sales team on effectively communicating the value proposition to support pricing goals.

J. If part of the eMarketing team, coordinates with broader team the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of interactive activities, such as email or mobile campaigns, paid search and social media efforts, integrating full consumer experience through digital channels.

K. Monitors information sources, including social media, to identify and track comment trends regarding the company and its competitors.
7. Primary contacts are typically internal and on a managerial, professional, supervisory, or co-worker level.

8. Interaction is primarily focused on providing advice, usually involving the explanation and discussion of difficult information directly related to the professional discipline. Factual information and advice is exchanged with an audience which is typically knowledgeable in the subject area. Demonstrates advanced persuasion skills and balances differing interests and perspectives.
9. Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with the company’s values and ethical standards.

The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each job.

Qualifications

– Bachelor Degree in Medical Field ( Medicine , Pharmacy or Dentistry ) , Master degree is a plus.

– Minimum 5 years of experience in medical , pharmaceutical or dental companies in Sales or Marketing.

– Post graduate Marketing studies is a must. ( Professional Diploma or MBA )

– Fluency in English ( Reading , Writing &  Speaking ).

– Mastering Microsoft Office. ( Word , Excel & Powerpoint ).
